TGXL not displaying BYP in FW:1.1.20 when bypass frequency range configured

Options

When using FW:1.1.16 in my TGXL, the 'Bypass or Operate' indicator would display 'BYP' when the frequency was within the frequency range that had been defined in the TGXL Configuration (Band configurator) to be bypassed. However, I recently upgraded to FW:1.1.20 and the 'Bypass or Operate' indicator always displays 'OPR' regardless of whether the frequency and whether or not it is within the frequency range that has been configured to be bypassed. Thoughts?

    Hello Mark,

I recently received my TGXL and have it in the lab .. learning its quirks. I just crafted a simple example of using the BYPASS function and it worked as expected. That is, when in the band window you specify to bypass it does indeed go to BYPASS with an indication. Two things .. the bypass configuration table in the Utility requires the frequency in kilohertz. I was entering megahertz and of course it did not work. Secondly, I had inadvertently removed the ethernet cable from my Microsoft Surface .. so nothing was actually loaded to the tuner. Figured it out and attempted again with success.

    Daniel,

That was exactly my problem, I had entered MHz and not KHz. As soon as I entered the frequencies in the proper format the TGXL worked as expected.

    Thanks for the reminder,

    Mark
