Multiple Monitors: Window Apps re-arrange randomly when I turn the monitors off

I want to add some monitor real estate. I'm currently running a 44" wide screen monitor.

My ThinkCenter Tiny P330 I7 computer has a Nvidia video card that can support 4 monitors.

I've installed an additional 4K monitor.

I have all the apps setup where I want them on both monitors

Then I turn them off, come back and turn them back on and the window app's are all over the place. I have the option of remembering window locations under System>Display when a monitor is turned off, however, it doesn't help. My app's are all over the place when the monitors are turned back on.

I like to keep my pc running and just turn of the monitors when I'm done playing radio for the day.

I've upgraded to Windows 11 pro with the same results.

Am I missing something or is this the way it is with Windows and multiple monitors?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

    Do you have one monitor set up as the 'Main Display' and then selected and set first as 'Extend desktop to this display', followed by the second monitor selected and set also to 'Extend desktop to this display'? If so, I have no other idea but if not, this in theory should make Windows see the entire monitor real estate as one and not give it cause to move program windows. I say in theory because quirks do occur but I have 3 monitors and when they are all set to Extended Display, with that first set on the Main Display, all my programs (and there are 15 of them counting SSDR, CAT, DAX separately) all stay put no matter if one or all of the monitors is turned off.

    This, for me at least, has always been a problem. I use WindowManager from DeskSoft to help with it: https://www.desksoft.com/WindowManager.htm

    Yes to all of your questions. I have my center display setup as the Main Display, and the two other monitors which are physically on either side of the main is setup as 'Extend Desktop'.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
