Flex 1500

I,ve been enjoying my Flex 5000A for some years now and have just inherited a 1500.

This seems to work well apart from the fact that I cant seem to achieve more than 1.5W

RF output on any band or mode.I,m using PowerSDR in various versions.

Some quidance/advice would be welcomed.

Thanks Roger G0IUW

Hi roger.. have you tried measuring output into a dummy load? Is it the same 1.5?

Do you know the provinence of the radio? Did it provide full output for the previous owner?

    Hi Don,

    Thanks for the reply...

Strange thing.... I reinstalled PowerSDR 2.8.0.271 and the RF power went to a respectable 4.5W.

I also tried K9ENS and that was also satisfactory....strange!

Thanks again for taking the trouble.

No worries... btw, I believe the K9ENS version of PowerSDR is now considered to be the 'latest'. Flex is no longer producing nor supporting PowerSDR.
