How to set up the INRAD 629 mic with DMS-1 base

Just received the DM-F adapter for the subject mic. Made sure the 629 mic is in the 'ON' position and the adapter cable is correctly plugged in. In P/CW, 'MIC' is selected and Inrad M629 is selected. DAX is turned off. When the mic base is keyed, it is as if there is no output from the mic. In Radio Setup, Bias and 20db is turned on. Have I missed something?

    After reading a question about no audio where cycling the radio solved the problem, I did the same and viola, audio now works fine. Wonder what is up with that???
