WARNING-BUG IN VERSION 2.8

Yesterday I turned on my Flex 6700 and noticed that only one pan existed without a receiver slice to control. The tab RX was black as well. I re-booted the radio without success. I have a Masestro as well and found the same problem trying to open the 6700. I saw activity on the panadapter and waterfall but could not hear anything or use the unit.

I updated to 2.8.1 on both my computer and the Maestro which corrected the problem. Is this the bug that 2.8.1 corrects?--they never say. Happy New Year

Hi Wayne, From Tim, W4TME in October, 2022:

FlexRadio Systems announces the immediate availability of SmartSDR v2.8.1.

This version of SmartSDR addresses critical issues that were introduced in previous versions of SmartSDR that affect the FLEX-6700, FLEX-6500, and FLEX-6300, specifically the inability to create slice receivers and operate SmartLink-enabled radios. FlexRadio highly recommends upgrading to SmartSDR v2.8.1 at your earliest convenience and strongly recommends not reverting to any previous versions of SmartSDR v2 to ensure the issues fixed in this release do not reoccur.

  • Thanks-that was the bug
