    Mike,

I sent in a Helpdesk request today about the same issue. Ken Wells from Flex said:

"The Problem you have reported has been identified as a software defect in the radio software, not in CAT. We are fast-tracking a fix for the SmartLink connectivity and no slice resources available issues.

The fix will require downloading and installing a new version of SmartSDR 3.3.x. For SmartSDR v2 users, we will also be releasing an updated SmartSDR v2.8.x as well with the new software fixes. Please note that once you have installed the updated SmartSDR firmware on your radio if you downgrade the firmware to a previous version, the issues you are experiencing will return, therefore we strongly recommend that you do not downgrade the firmware after you have upgraded to the new version of SmartSDR. Before upgrading, it is always a best practice to review the Release Notes that accompany every SmartSDR software release for any best practice recommendations and possible caveats.

I know the next question you have is how long until the updated SmartSDR v3.3.x and SmartSDR v2.8.x will be available. We are working very hard to have the new SmartSDR software available before the end of the week, assuming that there are no problems discovered in the final testing.  ...We are dealing with two issues: the SmartLink issue, and the "No Slice Available" issue. The "No Slice Available" issue is the one that will need a fast-track software release to resolve."

He said that the problem would recur if you downgrade the radio firmware to 3.3.29 and then re-upgrade to 3.3.32.
