Remote Audio Dropped Out in QSO

Right in the middle of a QSO, my audio, which ironically I had just received excellent reports on, dropped to nothing.

All mic, audio and EQ settings remain the same. I toggled mic profiles back and forth. Uninstalled SmartSDR and reinstalled twice to no avail. Radio still send tuning carrier and auto tune still keys the TX.

MON audio is there but very very faint. RX audio is cycling through some clicks and then drops out and then starts over again.

Any suggested next steps would be appreciated. Station site is 114 miles away.
