QSK time PTT OUT for an interlock use.

Member, Unconfirmed
The PTT OUT for the PGXL and TGXL in the latest versions of firmware are different. PG has 10ms and TG has 30ms. Is this right and for a purpose? I use the interlock with my FTDX10.

    Richard,

Full disclosure: I'm not as deeply knowledgeable about the TGXL hardware as I am with the PGXL.

We spent a significant amount of engineering calories ensuring the T/R time was as low as possible on the PGXL. Though 10ms is usually the measured time, there are edge cases where it is longer, therefore the recommended PGXL timing is 20ms for all operations including SO2R.

The internal switching for the PGXL is simple when compared with the TGXL which is more involved and takes longer to settle. My personal experience running both products simultaneously is a TX Delay of 40ms is adequate.
