First poweron of 6700 - very strong solder odor

I just powered on my new 6700. Pretty quickly, with no transmission (really just getting it connected) a rather overwhelming odor of solder/flux came out, and my power supply fan kicked on hard, despite no over or under voltage warnings.

I turned it off, and the odor continued and lingers. Gave me a headache, to boot.

I'm wondering if this is "normal" for a first power-on, or if something is damaged in the unit.

    Hi KS0T, That does not sound right. I would submit a helpdesk ticket right away.
