Windows 11 updates

Having an issue with every windows 11 update breaking my DAX. Have been getting several of these updates per week as this computer is currently enrolled in the Insider Program (beta channel) so don't know if that is related to that or just the same Windows Update/Dax issue we have fought over the years.

Running the batch files to remove and reinstall DAX works to fix it but its an annoying process. Anyone else having issues and if so have an easier process to fix?

Its pretty much every update.

I expect MSFT tells you not to rely on Insider/beta OS for production or critical applications. There's always a trade-off between stability and adventure!

I am also running W11 (beta) here and have not had any W11 update DAX issues. Nor have I had any W10 update DAX driver issues since the DAX drivers were updated in 2019. You should have DAX drivers v. 3.1.0.5 ( 7/31/2019).

Martin, There is no doubt there is a trade-off as you said. I was just asking if anyone else had issue and if there was a quicker fix than the CMD prompt. DAX breaking with windows updates is not new as many of us have had it with the official releases of Windows 10.

Al, Thanks for the info. I am current with everything and DAX drivers from June 1 of 202. But each feature update with W11 breaks the DAX.

The DAX driver is not completely compatible with the security measures built into Windows 11. The workaround is to disable "Memory Integrity" in Windows Security --> Device Security --> Core Isolation. Hopefully, the driver will be updated so this workaround is not necessary.
