usb cable

I have a flex 6300 version 3.2.39.3374 and would like to use the on board usb port to control the Icom PW-1 amp. Purchased a Dtech usb to RS-232 cable with ftdi chipset.

When I plug the cable into the flex usb port and open the usb window it does not show a cable. I installed the cable in my computer and it recognizes and creats a comm port. Looking at detail it show a ftdi chipset.

It is not connected to the amp yet.

Any help?
