Can I use an Ameritron ARI500 for auto band switching with a flex3000 and an Ameritron ALS600

I use an ameritron asl600 with my flex3000 and it works great. Can I install an ameritron ari500 interface for auto band switching of the amp? If it will work how would I set it up and what cables would I need?

    I am getting ready to try the same thing with my 5000a. I read that I could use the AMERITRON RJDB97DK cable to interconnect the radio and ARI500. The cable was originally made to interface the Kenwood TS2000 radio.
