Battery for Maestro

Member ✭✭
I have a Maestro on order and need a battery pack that won't keep dropping into off/standby. Can someone suggest a battery pack they've had good luck with. Thanks! Bob

Here’s what I bought recommend by Jason at hamradio 2.0 Mogix External Power Bank Charger with 2 Fast USB Ports Compact 10400mAh #Voted Best Travel Phone Accessories TSA Compliant Carry-on

Thanks. Curious - does this both power the maestro as well as charge thru the USB-A, or were any adapters needed? None of the (2) power banks I have will charge via the USB-A. Thanks again, bob

There is a micro USB port to charge the Mogix pack. Note - it will take about 6 hours to fully charge the pack.

Promotion on amazon. Buy the battery and get a $14 electronics case free - pretty nice looking case. I just placed my order. @awinger thanks for the recommendation

I'm confused about connectivity - maybe this will make more sense once I have the Maestro. None of the batteries I've looked at will recharge thru the USB-A port. The Maestro has only a USB-A plug. Does that mean the battery will not recharge while in the unit and must be removed for charging? The manual is silent on this point. Thanks, Bob

Correct. Due to the different batteries available and potential for fire hazard (hover boards?) the battery packs need to be charged outside the Maestro.

I just got my battery and free case - works great, thanks @awinger

One caveat. Be sure and run the Maestro from an external power source from time to time. The internal battery will not charge from from a portable battery. Even in the “B” version.
