Inrad W1 headset profile
Hello,
I just received a new Inrad W1 headset. I'm hoping someone here has one also and can share their profile or the settings with me as a starting point. Thanks.

Take a look at this NM9P video.

This is how I set up and it works.

Hi Lionel,
Thanks for the link, but I'm looking for the actual settings from someone that has a W1. Thanks.

Hi Vincent, people are always asking for a starting point on the TX EQ values. Intuitively, that sounds good, but realistically, you are better starting from a flat position (all zeroes). If you watch the NM9P videos and follow his method, you will get great sounding audio and you will be able to see the results as well as hear them. I can't listen and talk at the same time, so I use the record feature, then play back to see how it sounds.

Len,
Thanks for your comment, oppinion and suggestions. However as previously stated, I'm looking for actual settings from someone that actually has one of these headsets. Seems like a simple request but maybe there aren't that many using this headset yet.

or do you know one payable headphone whit mic that work direct on my 6600m0

The W1 Mic is a dynamic element with a relatively wide and flat response.
It does NOT require using the BIAS setting.
Its frequency response is most likely similar to the RadioSport M208 mic cartridge.
I would recommend starting with one of the RadioSport M208 default profiles, then using the advice in my videos, or in this document to fine-tune your settings to match your own voice and operating preferences:Adjusting your Microphone Settings for Best TX Audio – FlexRadio

when working with TX Eq, use cut before boost. Can’t really boost what isn’t there. For DX or parks, concentrate the audio in the 300-3000Hz range. Lower frequencies use tx power without adding intelligibility. Frequencies above 3000 increase bandwidth. Ragchew settings will probably be different.
