Transverter does not receive

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a cheap transverter off ebay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/144mhz-432mhz-to-28mhz-Highly-Stable-Transverter-HD-for-FLEX-RADIO-VHF-UHF-12W/254510549922?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
IT transmits fine and i can receive a signal from my handheld when very close to the radio. I am unable to receive distant signals on this. For example i have a 13 Element 2 meter beam when i hook it up to my regular FTM-3200D i hear the repeater fine but when i plug it into the transverter i hear nothing. I can only hear a signal if its very close. Like having my handheld near teh antenna. Has anyone ever had this issue? Ive removed and re-created the transverter in my Flex-6400 a few times with no luck.
ANy help is appreciated,
Thanks

Hi Don, do you have your xverter set up for split operation? I think this one transmits via the XVTR port and receives on RXA. Make sure that you select RXA for receive.
