6300 Advertises then Fails to Connect

Running Flex-6300 that has worked for years with no issues on my LAN. Hooked up new amplifier and started testing today and now all of a sudden I cannot connect to the 6300 from either my SmartSDR on Windows 7 (hardwired Ethernet) or via iPhone SDR via WiFi, both of which used to work perfectly.
The radio is configured with a static IP address 192.168.1.225 with mask 255.255.0.0 (/16 LAN), which has always worked well. When I power down and restart the radio, it advertizes via UDP and shows up as usual, with its correct IP and MAC addresses shown. When I attempt to connect, SmartSDR begins to connect, but never shows anything in the panadapter, then immediately disconnects. From that point forward, the radio is no longer advertizing or available to connect and must be powered down and back up to show up again. Very strange. The radio's Ethernet interface remains pingable at all times.
I'm hoping I don't have to factory reset but starting to wonder. I'm seeing no issues with firewalls, router (which has been rebooted) or network. Not sure how to troubleshoot except perhaps to connect directly from my Mac and bypass the router and other networking.

I went ahead with the factory reset. It's working now. Very odd.0

Maybe the extra RF somehow disrupted the radio somewhere and needed the reset. Might be a sign of "RF in the shack."0 -
Yes. There is some as SWR is about 1.7 on OCF inverted vee.0
