My 6500 stands in another place then where my PC stands, so i can't use the mic-connection on the 6500. I have a Heil proset 5 and a NUC server without a soundcard can i use every USB sound adapter to connect the Heil proset. Who can give me advise.

I have a Intel Nuc setup similarly.  I just purchased an off the shelf USB audio adapter and it works fine for both audio in using a Electro voice RE20 mike and when I want auio out for earphones. You just need to make sure the adapter you purchased has the connections for your Proset 5.  This is the adapter I am using: Behringer U-PHORIA UM2 2x2 USB Audio Interface.   My  Flextradio 6400 is over 60 ft away connected by ethernet to the NUC unit. I am using it with a 60"  high def TV using the HDMI out put from the NUC. I set in my Lazyboy using a wireless keyboard and mouse. I do have to run the Mike cable over the flow when operating SSB. But in my case that is just an XLR balanced cable. Also doing a lot of FT8 using the NUC.  Good luck, see you online.  WA5VTT
