Maestro Internal Battery - Any other steps?

In your Maestro it’s Dell tab juste disconnect your Dell tab and plug charger to your Dell tab. Maybe change battery in your tab.

One of my Maestros required being left on charge a couple days to recover from a non-charging battery issue.  Easy extra step to try if you haven't tried it.

Make sure you have tried a USB "Slow" charger during your rescue operation, as apparently the high amperage style main tablet charger leaves the protection circuitry in a state where it doesn't take the charge.  Must be a case of took much of a good thing?

If the battery truly is kaput, some folks have replaced it on their own, or had a service like Batteries+ replace it for them.  FRS also does a replacement service.

A past EOL battery isn't likely to come back, and some say it a high risk for swelling.

Here is the battery you will need to replace the internal Tablet battery.
as others have stated charge the battery for a couple of days before you put it back together  to make sure the original battery is toast.
Also you want to change the new Battery a couple of day before you put it in.
Best if you use a external charger like a 2A cell phone or tablet charger to charge the internal battery.

I found a couple short cable that I made a Micro USB cables mail and female so I could charge the Tablet independently of  the charging circuit in the Maestro that just plug together in the external battery compartment so I can even charge it now from my external battery with out pulling the case apart just in case.
I think these cables came in some external batteries I purchased and like a good ham I never through anything like this away but the cables may be available from EBAY or Amazon, I think they where about 12" long and fit perfectly.
