Hi Jean, I have seen this voiced before but am not exactly sure why. The main reason I would want to have a B model versus the A is the problem with A models needing a 'boost' to turn it on after its been unplugged and on the shelf for months.

The economics probably don't make much sense however. The main board is different and the case is different so you are replacing 80% of the cost of unit. An upgrade, with labor added, would be very expensive, you would be much better off selling your A model and just buying a B (plus you would get the warranty!)

    Why pay?

Add a screen and the board is possibly the only thing to do, with a kit is easy.

I think the fact is that at the heart of the Maestro is a Dell tablet.  Dell replaced the original table model with a newer model that is mostly an upgrade of the display resolution.  The only upgrade would be to replace the tablet portion of the Maestro. Probably not going to happen. ( The power button is a part of the tablet and would require also changing the case. )

I have model A and see no reason to update it or replace the screen. Besides I saved approx. $300 by buying a cpo model A. Gene, K1GD
