I use a POLANFO Q5 for more than three years and it works quite well. I think this model has now been changed to Yoobao Portable Charger 10000mAh Slim Power Bank found on Amazon. I know there are cheaper alternatives but this manufacturer adds lots of protection and I wanted to make sure I did everything I could not to have a battery melt down inside my radio!1

Hi,
I use an imogix 10,400maH. Actually, I have two to have one being charged while the other is being used. I don't know the actual life, but I have run the Maestro for nearly 4 hours on a single charge.
I have also tried some cheap, approx. $2 for 6,000maH, batteries from Walmart. These worked fine, too. But the problem is the thickness.
The Maestro battery compartment only has room for thin batteries like the imogix and the connector is oddly placed. Of course you can use the thicker Walmart batteries, but you can't put the plastic cover on the battery compartment. Everything fits with the imogix.

I have a Mogix 10400 mAhr battery. Got it from Amazon for about $28. I think it lasts about 3 hours, but I have never really timed it. It also doubles as phone and iPad charger.1

I have been very pleased with my Amazon purchase of two PowerAdd 4gs 12000 mAh portable power banks. One for use and the other for fast backup swap out. I have run the Maestro non-stop for more than 4 hours with no issues. 73'1

Mogix 10400 mAhr battery. I bought two and charge, swap them after every Maestro use. They work great.0
