maestro locks up and reboots when transmitting ssb

Every time I try to transmit in SSB with hand mike plugged in at rear of my 6600, I can only get a few words out before the Maestro locks up, then reboots.
I am using Version 3

    Does it do the same thing with low power or into a dummy load? Maybe a bit simplistic, but sure sounds like RF getting into the Maestro connection.

    It does tune okay with 10 watts.
    So if I'm using the Maestro wireless, how do I keep RF out ?

    The Maestro may be wireless, but the Flex certainly is not, so concentrate there. Or the wireless router that is talking to the Maestro.
