CAT gives error message

When I click on the CAT icon, I get an error message. See attached.

Rig is a 6600M running v2.4.9.196.

    Stan,

    Did it say you "Needed to have SmartCAT running"   or something to that effect?? 

    You should check you Windows services,  make sure that    Virtual Serial Port Kit Service is running and in Automatic ..

    Thanks for the response. I had trouble pasting the verrrry looong error messages, so I just went ahead and sent in a trouble report. There were two pages of software instructions that failed. As a result, I just got through packing the rig up for a trip back to Austin.  ;-(
