Thanks for the heads-up.

My NRD 515 just heard its death knell. I have been using the 6300 anyway because the audio and filtering is so much better. More space gained! This package does every thing I need for SWL. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the links. This is a nice app for SWL.
I was able to run Ergo on a PC and use a Maestro for traditional knobs. One can tune around and Ergo will ID the SW stations along with the propagation map etc...

My gateway drug to ham radio was SWLing with a Kenwood R-1000. It was a nice radio but I lusted after the NRD-515 as it had an optional box that gave the rig memories. There were two different units that did this giving one either 24 or 96 memories. Oh man did I want memories for my radio. I used to listen to the BBC everyday for the news and to be able to just pick the frequency in use via that box would have been sweet. I love my 6400 but have to say that the 515 is a lot prettier rig,

I agree a nice app for SWL but a little pricey at $135

The video link is from 2009. Is the Ergo database continuously updated? There is a 60-day free trial. That seems to be more than enough to know for sure if we want to buy the app.0

I must admit that I haven't tried Ergo but I I'm struggling to justify $135 when I can do all the SWLing I want with SSDR and PSDR (on my Flex 1500). I think I'd sooner put the money towards upgrading to SSDR v3 David G4NRT / Z21NRT2

The 60 day trial is indeed very generous but....at 67% the price of the SSDR v3 new release, the price is way too high by a long stretch. Not when you can get something like the Win4K3 series at $50.

Is this going to work for SSDR V3 or will it have the same issues as stated with DX Lab and other third party packages on another very active thread?
