Flex 6400 to RF Power HVLA 1K3?

Options
Dear all. 1st post on the Community.
I need help to configure the Flex 6400 for band data (and PTT) on my amplifier RF Power HVLA 1K3.

https://www.rfpower.it/pdf-hvla1k3-plus.html

I'd like to use a USB to DB9 cable (FTDI).

Maybe some of you can guide me through the process and configuration? I'm not good in these things :)

Thanks in advance.

    Hello Fred,

As we had discussed try Kenwood with the USB to serial. What I am not sure about is whether you need a straight through or null modem cable. I am guessing a straight through cable is what you need.

I have a Tokyo Hy-Power amplifier with a Kenwood band input.  I made  the cable described below that works with the Flex Usb cable.
    DB9 Female  -------------------   DB9 Male
    Pin2 ---------------------------------Pin3
    Pin3 ---------------------------------Pin2
    Pin5 ---------------------------------Pin5  (ground)

Also connect Pin6 to Pin 8 on the male connector
