    Remember it is what is inside the loop filter that contributes to degenerative phase noise. I.e. usually locking the built-in reference to a rubidium oscillator is often by having a very narrow loop filter (slow lock-in time) and thus the far out phase-noise from the Rb oscillator is not causing problems. But a LPRO with a PN close to -155 dBc is always nice to have, but expensive :D
