Where are the CAT ports stored?

Since the Windows 10 Spring update, my CAT ports on my computer 1 are gone. I assumed that it had to do with me uninstalling CAT. Fair enough. I had not gotten to recreate them all yet, but my plan was to go through all my 3rd party apps (N1MM+, Dxlab, WSJT-X) and replicate them again in SmartCAT. Just have not done it yet...
Today I fire up a second computer in my house, and find all my CAT ports are still there. This leads me to the question: Where are the CAT ports stored? On every computer? I somehow assumed it was on the radio, but may be not the case after all....
SmartSDR 2.2.8
Thanks

Not 100% sure but the CAT and DAX settings are stored in C:usersyour nameAppDataRoamingFlexRadio Systems
Normally its the C drive.0 -
CAT ports are not "stored". They are Windows drivers that provide virtual com ports to allow loggers and other software to communicate with SmartSDR. They appear to these applications as a traditional hardware COM port (which would be installed in your PC and would communicate with a traditional radio via an RS232 cable, whereas with the Flex radio, the communication is entirely internal to Windows using a virtual "cable", if you will). As a Windows driver, they become part of Windows, not the Flex Radio, and are managed by SmartSDR CAT running on the PC. If you uninstall SmartSDR CAT, the ports will go away.
I hope this makes some sense...
