My understanding is while the radio’ port is electrically and physically configured as a USB, it is purpose-limited to the in-shack automation and waveform use. It isn’t a general purpose I/O as well as being task limited by the closed nature of the radio itself. Long way of saying, it isn’t configured to work for a wireless adapter. 73 Steve K9ZW2

Short answer: No. Look at page 23 of the hardware reference manual and page 118 ff. of the SSDR software user manual. You would need a specific software for WLAN running on your FlexRadio.

You can connect a TP-LINK TL-WR802N mini hot spot via RJ45 into the FLEX RJ45 and have the TP Link become a Wi-Fi hot spot.

I have used this device, set it up to connect to your wifi then plug it in to the Ethernet port and usb power. I would not use the usb from the radio however.

Can this nifty device also be used as the interface between the 6K series FRS radios and the Verizon Jet Pack, MiFi series of devices, IE 6620L ??

Tom, you just have to configure the device to connect to the Verizon Jet Pack.
