I posted this on the FB group - but wanted to share here.

------
There was just a re-play of an interview with Gerald K5SDR on the W5KUB stream.

Part A
https://youtu.be/UGNVjGKdvbM?t=8677

Part B
https://youtu.be/UGNVjGKdvbM?t=9074

Offers a great walkthrough of the new 6xxx radios and the PowerGenius XL.

There are two segments with a short gap between them.

Worth a watch, about 12 mins in total.

No joke... perhaps your browser is not parsing the timecode?

Thanks for posting. Its somewhat reassuring that Gerald referred to the next software release also including the performance improvements for all 6000radios in respect of what they found during the Sherwood second round testing. Bit of tweaking in the software which does not rely on newer hardware. He also confirmed that the vanilla non m versions of the 6600 would ship a few months later than the m versions - that suits me, as the m version guys can be the guinea pigs on the new hardware:-)  Maybe the non m version will end up with a slightly smaller case in the end product? Or include rack ears with a nice accessory rack that would accept my 6300 and the 6600 - would be nice. I hope we get a maintenance release before 2.0 so that these performance enhancements don't rely on having to pay for 2.0. Although as I am in the process of ordering a high spec surface pro for /p work I am looking forward to getting 2.0 wan facility so I can access my station from my work location which is on fibre link, and will soon be getting fibre to the premises at home qth too in next month or two.

Time code is wrong. Part 1 starts at 3:21:45 not 2:21. Perhaps the video was edited/changed? Will update with part 2 when I get there.

Hi Steve, do you have a link to the surface pro you are considering? I'm thinking about a new portable purchase too. Thanks.

On the spec sheet it states GPS disciplined oscillator. (OPTIONAL)
    http://www.flexradio.com/amateur-products/flex-6000-signature-series/flex-6600/

And the brochure lists the same.
    http://www.flexradio.com/downloads/flex-6600-trifold-concept_1-0-pdf/

But I do not see anything about MIC's.

I spoke with Tom W5KUB a few hours ago. He gave me permission to extract the K5SDR portion of otherwise lengthy videos that some were having timing issues with and post it online:

So a question that I have not heard mentioned on all the other threads are the M series since they are stand alone do you still need a PC to upgrade the software?

Thank you for taking the time to tape the event.
I specially enjoyed Gerald explanation and operating; the features of the new Flex radio models.
Subjection, maybe we can contribute for a steady cam mount for the next event; in order to eliminate the jerkin moves.

    Rory,

I'm sure the unit will work like a Maestro which updates itself without an external pc attached.

I think that video was done by W5KUB's crew.
They rove to the different vendors for interviews, not likely to change.

I did the interview and held the camera, an android phone in a home made mount by W5KUB.  Hard to hold steady. Glad you liked it.

That is really sweet that you get the tuner included if you purchase the amp by the end of the year.  The tuner can even be mounted remotely at the antenna.
