cwx operation could be improved

CWX for Smart SDR works pretty well as you type and the buffer empties. The code is consistent and smooth. However, I have two issues: (1) the backspace removes the characters on the screen but they are transmitted anyway, and (2) the audio I hear is advanced in time from what is transmitted. On item (2), it is disheartening that I have to wait extra time after the sound of the characters finishes.

I have an issue regarding remote CW, which works well using the VPN to my home router (an ASSUS). I'd like to use my keyer and PC to send code, but the audio isn't there. I suspect I need some kind of audio transfer through the pc which is not otherwise provided.

    What version of SmartSDR are you using?

    Please upgrade to the general release of 1.10 (1.10.16) and see if you are still having the same issue as you reported for item #1.

    Regarding #2, that is a normal consequence of an SDR, as there is latency between the time the tone is generated and RF is transmitted.  It is a matter of physics; the time it takes for a signal to propagate through the DSP logic.

    Tim, I just tried back spacing in 1.10.16. Again, it erased from the screen but sent the characters anyway. This should be easy to verify on your end. Thanks. Bruce K6ZB

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
