Do you switch between profiles very often?

When I start SmartSDR it usually opens using the profile that was active when SmartSDR was last closed. Usually, it seems to be using whatever persistence values were in use the last time that profile was used too.

When it misbehaves, have you tried fixing all the individual values so that they match what you intended, and then saving the Global Profile. Then shutdown SmartSDR, and restart it, It should start up using the profile you just fixed and saved.

I keep a separate "Factory Defaults" profile set. That I saved and renamed to "Factory Defaults" immediately after installing a new release. I'm careful to only use that profile as a back to square one starting point, which I then use to create new profiles with different names. The "Factory Defaults" profile never get resaved, because it might corrupt the pristine factory values it's supposed to contain.

My "Factory Defaults" profile is saved along with all my other profiles when I export them before installing each new release of SmartSDR, but I usually delete it and recreate it right after importing my profiles into a new release. the new install Default profile might not always contain the same values, Flexradio might have changed something, since the previous release.

The SO2RDefault profile that comes with each install, is likely close enough to the values that were being used when you first started the new version of SmartSDR.  I don't have any SO2R needs or abilities so it never gets used for anything. However leaving that Profile active will result in the persistence values for it being reset to whatever values were active at the time SmartSDR next gets closed, and will likely be reused the next time you start SmartSDR.

Just be careful when saving profiles, be sure they are tight before you save them, if accidents get saved then delete those accidental profiles.

Another hint: I use a global profile called "Digital", when I want to modify that profile, I don't resave it as "Digital", instead I save a new profile called "Digital-1" which will contain the modifications I made. Later if I'm happier with Digital-1, I resave it as Digital and delete the Digital-1 profile. To avoid ending up with a long list of Digital-### profiles, cluttering up the profiles list.

None of the above may address your problem, it could still be a bug, or a glitch. I'm just trying to explain a possible workaround to get you past this glitch.
