CW Skimmer with Smart SDR set-up

I have read through past posts but I want to check some basic set-up assumptions since I am getting poor performance from CWS  with SmartSDR compared to performance with PowerSDR.   Am I correct in understanding that the basic set-up for CW Skimmer with SmartSDR is the "radio" type is SOFTROCK not SoftRock IQ ?  That there is no need for an audio off-set of 9600 Hz like in PowerSDR ?  and 48000 Hz should be the sampling rate ?  I get odd results when I use these settings.  When I click on a  stream in CCW, the CWS watefrall **** and I lose the station I was clicking on.

Andrew , you can use this apps http://www.qrv.com/sdrbridge.html. what create necessary INI for skimmer. I hope it help.. Sampling rate depends on bandwidth what you like to explorer with skimmer, this setting should be in line with appropriate DAX IQ channel sampling rate.

Thanks Sergey.  I have SDRbridge but CWS is still acting rather erratically.

I assume you recognize issue with skimmer step tuning - skimmer have fixed step and sometime station selected on SSDR waterfall not tuned properly on the skimmer, yeah, this is a my disappointing too, however I not using skimmer waterfall but bandmap with spots what more important for me and of course integration spots into SSDR will be big step forward with minimizing of monitor surface exploring .

I use 192k with no problems. image

In SDR bridge you need to make sure the DAX I/Q and the slice you want to tune match up properly. You may have to change band and change back just to get it synchronized.

Andrew mentioned he lost station that means may be no proper telnet connection with Bridge and unable to synchronize. May be this thread can help also: https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/syncing-cw-skimmer-and-sdr?topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Bfilter_by%5D=all
