Hardware guide indicates an antenna match unit in the 6700-R???

Question for the FLEX Meisters:
The "FLEX-6000-Hardware-Reference-Manual" does a good job differentiating the features in the 6700 and 6700-R, even though specifications are, annoyingly, listed in the same column. However, page 14 of the reference manual does seem to imply the 6700-R has an internal Antenna Match Unit (Tuner).
If this is not an error, are there any plans to provide a software interface to manually adjust L and C in the antenna match unit?
Thanks for you attention and time,
Mystery Ham

That is a doc oversight. The FLEX-6700R has no antenna matching circuitry.0

A shame that it doesn't... Given that it isn't a part 97 device you could likely incorporate a noise bridge or some very low power adjustable frequency source to match an antenna using an ultra low power antenna matching circuit (lower cost, wider range of L & C, smaller package as compared to the 6700) Put two of them in, one for each antenna.
Then you have a reason to put slider controls in SSDR and play with firmware... :-)
On an end fed wire, when tuned, I saw 1 to 2 dB loss on some bands while others improved 5 to 8dB as compared to bypass. That extra 5 to 8db could make a big difference with weak signal work.
Thanks for the time...
