How to charge the Maestro battery?
If I recall correctly, at a show last November, the Maestro battery compartment had two cables. One microUSB to charge the battery pack (automatically from the Maestro when plugged in), and one standard USB to power the Maestro from the battery pack. Now there is only one cable in my Maestro battery compartment. So it looks like I need a separate charger and will need to remove the battery every few hours for charging. Is that right? Am I remembering correctly?

I'd like to know that too. When I run my Maestro on a battery (using a Mogix 10400mah), then plug in the AC supply the battery icon disappears and the AC Plug icon appears, but have no idea whether the AC supply is charging the battery, but I'm guessing the answer is no.
Considering there will probably be many different batteries with different amperage ratings used in Maestro's, my guess is FRS would probably not want to supply internal battery charging.0 -
You are remembering correctly. There is a thread about the charging challenges and liability to go with it. With all the various packs and variations the decision was to pull the charge portion. One will need a spare pack to swap and charge externally. Luckily there is an internal bat to prevent a complete shutdown when swapping.
