Remote Disconnect of Maestro from SmartSDR

Is there currently a way to remotely disconnect a Maestro from the Flex 6XXX within SmartSDR? For example if you have the Maestro running in another room/building that is part of your LAN and you go to the shack to operate. You find when starting SmartSDR that the Flex is in use and you have to go back to the Maestro to shut it off and then return to the shack.
I know that I could force a remote disconnection by removing power or the device from the LAN but those are not very attractive solutions and bring other potential issues with them.
If not currently available are there plans to add this functionality in the next release?
This becomes even more significant an issue for those of us that are using VPN's to remotely operate our Flex station with a computer or a Maestro.

I've had the same thought but the opposite. I frequently find myself with the Maestro in another room but my 6700 is connected to ssdr in my shack. So I usually have my iPad or iPhone with me and use either Paralells Access or teamviewer to log into my pc to break the SDR connection. This makes the 6700 immediately available to the Maestro. Another way to do this disconnect would be nice!1

You could remotely reboot the router.0

Or FRS could write a little "**** other instances of SSDR currently running elsewhere" routine?1

That would be fairly easy to do. The app would need to be changed to provide for that type of signaling - but it is done all the time.
Just a comment regarding .NET. Version 3.5 is positively ancient (released in 2007) at this point. We are six releases since 3.5. Microsoft is constantly updating .NET to keep up with the fluid computing environment that continues to evolve. There comes a point where old API's have to be put out to pasture and abandoned. This has certainly happened in other platforms such as PHP, java, python, etc.
The latest .NET release - 4.6.2, will run on anything Windows 7 or later. So if someone were to have a computer running Vista or XP, probably time for it to get dropped off at the recycler.0 -
It's on the enhancement list and definitely needed by us remote guys. You currently can disconnect Maestro on its Network Menu when you click disconnect WIFI0

This looks to be a feature that will be included in the next release of SmartSDR.2
