Recording and playing back/transmitting audio with freeware programs now much easier!

With the new DAX 1.6.17.156 mic stream it is easy to record and play back audio files,
control your mic audio and play CQ calls etc. Well done, FlexRadio, thumbs up!
I use Audacity for this purpose: http://audacityteam.org/
The newest updates are here: http://gaclrecords.org.uk/win-nightly/
Audacity has sound activated recording, which works very well now, and you can also
visually control your signals. It comes with a lot of languages and is Freeware.
The K9DUR Voice Keyer
http://k9dur.rnaconsultingservices.com/voice_keyer.html
also works very well now, as I can record directly from the microphone without
transmitting.
A third free sotfware, which I can recommend, is DL4YHF's Audio Spectrum Analyzer
("Spectrum Lab"), which I use for recording and viewing audio and which can even
control my SDR-IQ, which I use for VLF monitoring purposes on the IF of my
Siemens D2008 level meter, decoding from 200 Hz (!!!) to 18,4 MHz.

HI Alex,
I have Audacity and am able to record from my 6300 using DAX. I run all of my devices with audio through an Alesis 8 channel mixer that connects to the pc running Audacity. I for the life of me have not figured out how to record my transmit audio. I have tried most of the DAX cables without any luck.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Ken

Ken, with DAX 1.6.17.156 just use the mic stream and click it on.
You'll find mic stream as a virtual soundcard DAX Mic Audio and just
connect Audacity. Alex-DH2ID
