Idea from eHam posting

I was just reading a review of the SPE Expert 1.3k by ZS6RJ on eHam. He mentioned this:
"For ops that will be using this linear both at home and in the field for portable work, the new feature of two different memory banks for the built in antenna tuner are a real time saver. This means you can keep your optimal antenna tuner settings for your home antennas in bank A and have bank B set for your DXpedition or field day antennas, thus saving you the retune process when you get back home."
This sounds like a nice feature that Flex might consider including on some of their future products. Just a thought. Back to the salt-mine.

I believe this is as simple as saving a new set pf profiles with the field antenna ATU settings. So for example at home you might have "20M CW" with the appropriate ATU MEM setting. When arriving at the field location click 20M CW click ATU with MEM active and save as "20M CW Field". I was late to use Profiles but now I can't get enough of them. This week made a set of profiles for VK9WA frequencies and modes. Just click to see if the DX station was coming through on a certain band. Warning .. profiles are addictive.0

Here's one for those who are so obviously bored that they're reading this thread. I notice that the audio crowd uses 're-clocking' devices to reduce jitter between their digital audio sources and DACs: Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/Wyred-Sound-Remedy-Digital-Reclocker/dp/B00MX84PNU. Any thoughts as to whether this would have an effect when placed in-line between a computer's USB port and a Flex 1500 (presuming that a couple of USB to optical converters are available?)
