Receiver Comparison on 20 meters

Decided to compare my Flex 6500 with my grandfather's receiver on a pile up on 20 meters.
(owned and used by my immigrant grandfather).

Conclusion:  Flex is "not my grandfather's receiver."

    Noise blanking depends on the position of the "cat's whisker on the crystal" which had to be positioned by hand.


    The original "cat's whisker" was broken and replaced with a bolt and a piece of wire.
    That is DIY!!
