When running digital modes, how does DIGIU differ from USB?

DIGU settings are stripped of filter settings and audio tailoring that can adversely impact reception and transmission of digital mode signals. Mic lgain levels are also different to take in to account digital modes .

DIGU/L bypasses EQ and the compressor, and uses different filters bandwidths that center at 1500hz.

You can also set your DIGU mode to 5kHz for digital modes and leave USB at the standard 2,7kHz. I have set profiles for that.

Correct. Compression/processor and TX EQ are locked out so that they do not distort the digital signal. I also seem to remember something about the filter slopes being a little softer, which reduces latency a little and improves turn-around time. (Tim or Steve my clarify this.)
