Another Metering question

Prior to create a pan and slice the radio sends a whole series of VitaMeterPackets (why do I want to call them Vita Meter Maid, as in 'lovely Vita, Meter Maid"). They don't appear to be tied to anything as nothing else has been instantiated, pan, slice, etc.
What are they? Are they valid? And what do they represent?
This is what they look like, the meter id goes from 1 through 18 and they look like this:
Meter{_index=1, _source=null, _source_index=-1, _name=null, _value=0.0, _raw_value=-48, _low=1.7976931348623157E308, _high=-1.7976931348623157E308, _fps=-1.7976931348623157E308, _peak=false, _description=null, _units=None}

So far there is an apparent mismatch between the flexlib source (1.4.11) and the behavior of applications build against it. There is another one in the lsts and due to all the obsequious comments they were down to page 3 or 4 where no one at FRS would ever see it. The difference between this and, say, what William is doing, he is looking for specific packet types, I look at all of them.
So there is this thread,
the mismatch in RequiredFirmawareVersion, and
getting back two streamids when only one was expected.
Burt, think of a bump as a synonym for nudge, as in, hey, I am still here.. Tnx James.

Now that is Monday and the show in over... Flex boys need some vacation day. At least. They deserve It
73' 0 -
When I would attend, what then was called, "User Week"s, it was an entire week in St. Louis, or San Francisco, etc training customers, selling customers, showing what we were writing and announcing. After the show was over, we went back to work the following Monday. We also don't get 6 weeks of vacation either.

Burt, this is my second and last warning.
Classless? look in a mirror.

Walt,
If you send the radio a "meter list" command before you create a panafall, you will see that these meters relate to the transmitter, dc supply levels, pa temperature etc. They are valid.
An alternative is to send "sub meter all" and subscribe to meter updates - that way, when a slice is created or deleted, you will see the additions/remove messages for the slice related meters.
The values have to be scaled depending on the units associated with each meter.
