I think you don't need it.....Flex has TX relay output  designed to handle signaling levels of up to +40 VDC @ 140 mA  ......about Acom 10101 it has  The KEY-IN socket at back and uses a standard RCA phono plug...however I don't know what are specifications

Use a standard RCA Male to RCA Male cable, don't use a box, not desireable.

I found out the hard way with my Acom 1000 that the Acom's microprocessor will complain of "Hot Switching" issues and drop out with the time delay introduced by the "box relay" in between the PTT output when I first set up the 6300 with my Acom 1000.
Got that info from HRO's Acom guy when I called freaking out that something was wrong with the new Acom.  HRO guy said to stop thinking "Old School" as I had been using that same homebrewed amplifier interface better than 30 years. Times have changed and so has high end amp design.

All is fantastic now, this is a "Killer Combo". Simple amp switching IS better with the Acom's...!!!

BTW: Excellent choice in amps OM, the 1010 will play well for you.
I am VERY happy I paired up my Flex 6300 with the Acom 1000.
Not a good choice for remote however as the 1000 is manual tune, micro assisted 10 seconds or less manual tune (fast) up to a 3:1 vswr. The Acom 2000 is fully automatic but the price point was the driving factor for me. Sold my TL-922A and ALS-600 to make the purchase, would absolutely do it again! 1kw all day, any band, any mode 6-160m, fabulous combo (for me).

Interesting..... I've temporarily given up on my Flex 6300 on account of its unreliable keying of my Acom 1k. Whatever I do with tx delay settings etc I get regular hot-switching faults on the amp. Using a simple RCA lead and keying with a Microham CW Keyer; haven't tried keying direct 'cos this is how I 'do' my cw, and the K3 is totally reliable however I do the keying.... 73, Stew, GW0ETF

Yes I agree with Clay, Stew, I have 6300 and A1K and just have a phono lead from Maplin connecting the two together and the profiles that are set to drive the amp have a 7ms TX delay factored in. Never had any timing issues with this combo.

Not sure what f/w your A1K is but might be worth a call to Ron @ Vine to see if he has any pointers?

Appreciate the replies, and no I haven't given up as it's a really nice radio barefoot. I'm sure it'd be fine on phone with the amp too but I'm talking 25 to 30 wpm cw both qsk and semi here. If I use the ptt from the Micoham box its fine too but I lose qsk that way, hence the temptation to just go back to the K3.... 73, Stew, GW0ETF
