Volume level should not be stored.

Because SSDR stores the AF Gain per band I keep getting blasted with audio. Like early in the morning I switch to 40 meters where 2 days ago I had the volume up real loud. I click on 40 and wake the entire house!
Knob radios have one setting. I get up in the morning, turn down the volume and don't need to worry about it. So why should SSDR store all those different volume settings? I propose that when SSDR is booted the volume level should either be at minimum or very low or maybe just where it was last time you used it.

I am not so keen on this - like the behavior as is.  If one cranks the volume up for a particular band make sure to set it down to reasonable levels afterwards.  The mute feature is also per band.

Forty Meters in the AM is quiet here compared to night time.

I also like it the way it is, The reason for each slice to have it's own Volume is so you can have each slice (up to 8 with the 6700) set for the particular band you need it set for.

Maybe just get in the habit to mute the speaker before you shut down by clicking on the master volume speaker ICON on the top right of the screen which is MUCH simpler then moving the sliders all the time if you don't have to.
