Feature or option suggestion
I have been learning how to use digital mode, WSJT-x in particular.
A couple time upon starting I've been tripped up by not being able to transmit.
Apparently my system does not always activate the red TX button on the Dax Control Panel for the slice I'm using.
I forgot about that issue a couple of times, I found myself going through all the options wondering why I couldn't transmit.
It seems that the Transmit TX button in the slice info and the TX button in the DAX Control panel are not in sync ON-OFF wise. (at least not on my computer)
My feature suggestion that for all slices, the TX button should be in sync, ON in a slice info box should enable it to ON in the DAX Control panel. Obviously OFF in the slice info box should indicate that it's also OFF in the DAX Control panel.
It's tough to remember all these features.

They are not synced by design because you can have multiple DAX clients connected to the radio. You may not want all of those clients with the DAX channel capable of receiving the transmit audio.
If you want to make sure your DAX channel is set for transmit, open the DAX control panel and enable all of the TX buttons.

OK I hadn't thought about it as I'm only just starting with slices.. I assumed (that word again) that each DAX channel was independent of another.
While I got your attention, Is there a tutorial on SmartCat
Spent the whole afternoon trying to switch over and just can't get the concept in my head.

Yes as I'm to work with both radios, I switch back and forth. I find that when I left, the DAX control panel had the slice TX enabled.
But half the time, I find it disabled....
Not a biggee, I've learned to check it right off.
I see other persistence issues but I know they are working on that.
I don't always spot them at first....but I made a cheatsheet. (no mind left after raising 8 children)

I'm really just learning how to use DAX...Is there any plans or is it even possible to upgrade PSDR to utilize DAX>
I'm hanging on to my Flex5K, and in fact I just brought it up and of course had to switch the settings from DAX back to VAC.
Just wondering?

There are no near term plans to update the PowerSDR VAC feature to DAX.0
