DAX Driver will not start even after new SDR install

DAX does not work.  An error message occurs during the installation process of Smart SDR 1.2.17
Several complete unistalls, plus I cleaned pout old programs including MicroHam, and anything that might use a port.

    DAX Control Panel v1.0.5.65  Audio is seen on the display.  The TX indicator is ON.  The #1 indicator is GREYED out (That is the error).  Any ideas?

    After uninstalling, Check in Device Manager, check "show hidden devices" and remove all old instances of DAX ports - there are probably several. reboot, reinstall.

    You are wise beyond your years. Another complete uninstall, Device Manage Hack and now all is well.  At least that part of my life.  Now to get N1MM to key teh radio. May need to buy a K1EL Winkeyer.
