Antenna Port Problem

I have a Flex6500 with the latest SmartSDR software V1.2.1

I have an HF antenna on antenna port 1 and a 6m Yagi on antenna port 2.

I want to monitor 6m on one panadapter and work HF in another.

The software will not allow me to select separate antenna ports for receive, if I select the 6m yagi on port2 for the 6m panadapter it automatically changes the HF panadapter to the 6m yagi and vice versa when I select the HF antenna it also changes the 6m antenna to port 1 and the HF antenna.

This problem is only on the receive side the selections for the transmit antennas remain correct.

    Correction to the above it changes the antenna ports on transmit as well when selected as the active transmit slice. This means you have to continually check to make sure the correct antenna is selected every time you change slices.

    What you describe seems to not be possible with the 6500.  The 6500 can only RX from one antenna at a time.  The 6700 has two SCU's thus allowing what you describe.   I use a Carolina Windom 40 and a PixelTech RF-ProB loop on my 6700.  I can assign pan adapters to either antenna simultaneously.

    Ah, Thanks Chris, I understand now, the Spectral capture unit is attached direct to the antenna and if you only have one unit it can only be connected to one antenna at a time.

    I must have been having a simple moment.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
