Actually, about 4 times a year, according to the roadmap!

In the SSDR v1,2 video under the  Display Tab for the Panafall/Waterfall controls that the RATE slider control wasn't very linear..   Gerald did all the control ever needed from a stopped waterfall to fairly fast waterfall scroll and only used a range from the 50% to 100% markers....  anything under 50% didn't seem to make any difference.    I'm sure that's just the early release slider version  and has since been refined.   Certainly did like the overall Panafall feature from what I saw though.

The Rate and FPS controls interact, so what you are seeing is the effect of Rate at a high FPS.  Turn both down and the waterfall grinds to a crawl.

The rate slider for the waterfall can go from a crawl that will save many hours to just a few seconds.  So far everyone seems fine with the range of the slider.  I think most operating will keep the slider on the high end of the scale.

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
