Panadapter spurs in Tune mode

Am I the only one noticing nasty spurs on the 6700 transmitter when using tune mode? 160M seems to be the only Band with a relatively clean carrier with much stronger spurs showing up on 30M and up with 17M being the worst on this particular 6700. (-95 dbm) Tested 160-6 feeding the 6700 Ant1 into a Palstar5K dummy load. never show 100 watts out on this radio.... 85 watts seems to be the limit with a couple Bands getting to 80 watts only. Version is 0.13.10 ADDENDUM: Sorry... 6M appears to be the worst

    Those are receiver aritifacts caused by high rf currents inside the radio getting into the ADC. They are NOT going out on the transmitted signal. The are simply not real Note that isolation decreases with increasing frequency so the artifacts will increase with frequency. We could have blanked the panadapter as is done on other radios but we have decided not to do so. We like having the panadapters active while transmitting so that you can watch the bands with a second antenna.

    I concur that my 6700 also is not putting out more than 70 or 80 watts max into a 50 ohm dummy load (SWR showing1:1). I read that some were seeing the full 100 watts. Is there a problem here?

    My 6700 is also putting out 70-80 watts into a 50 ohm dummy load on 80-10m. Both the watt meter on the 6700 and the watt meter on the Palstar AT-AUTO show about the same power out. I put the radio in tune mode and then run the power out up to 100.

    I might have missed it, but how do you set the output of the tune mode? I have tried and only get 10 watts. I thought it was fixed to 10 watts for time being. Owen KB5XE

    go into tune mode and then set the RF Power to the level you want.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor.
