CW Splits - vision for RIT/XIT coming in V1.1

CW Splits - vision for RIT/XIT I'm currently working CW DX splits with 2 slices which works pretty well. Reference the snapshot. - listen to the DX on slice B - listen "up 1" and transmit on slice A (note: with DDUtil owning the FLEXContol knob I can adjust the slice A frequency even though it is not the active slice) What is the vision for the RIT/XIT user control enhancement that is coming in V1.1? Or is it too early for that yet? It seems like there are several ways this could be implemented. - will a single slice display be expanded to show RIT and XIT offsets - will a single slice display both the receive and transmit frequencies? - or will RIT/XIT link 2 slices so we can still listen to both the DX and the pile? - or is there something else planned? Also curious about how others are working splits today.... Regards, Al / NN4ZZ

    One way is to use the Split feature in DDUtil v3. - Open 2 radio slices (A/B) In the DDUtil GUI (Misc window 2nd row right side) - Set a offset amount - Press the Split button Slice A is the receive slice Slice B is the transmit slice Toggling the Split button moves the TX from slice A<>B http://k5fr.com/DDUtilV3wiki/index.php?title=Misc

    The RIT/XIT function is slice specific, so there will be a drop down menu on the slice control panel from the R/XIT menu. You will be able to change both RIT and XIT for that particular slice relative to the slice carrier frequency. BTW, I use two slices to operate split as you have described.

    Tim, Ok, so it sounds like the single slice RIT/XIT will be good for simplex operation when you want to move your receive frequency slightly to compensate for the other guy drifting a bit, or to transmit slightly away from the crowd. And for DX splits when you want to listen to both frequencies at the same time the method I noted earlier is probably the way to go. Thanks, Al / NN4ZZ

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
