Moving 6600 settings to 8600

I expect to receive a new Flex 8600 soon. I will be upgrading from a 6600 that is set up perfectly for my use with TGXL, PGXL, AG using a WIN 10 computer. I expect my profiles will transfer to the 8600, but wonder what other settings will need to be set manually on the new radio? A list would be very helpful to assure that I make notes of settings not in profiles to insure a smooth transition. Also, is it correct to expect that most of the non-FLEX software I use with the radio will also need to have settings manually reset? SmartLink?

Advice much appreciated.

I'm in the same situation going from a 6400M to 8600, but using SmartSDR for Mac and wondering if my Profiles will transfer over… I think i'm going to make a lot of notes of settings and screen-shots before 'jumping'!

Export the 6600 profiles and import into the 8600. Should work without issue. Others have commented they had success.

Just received my 8600. For the most part, just importing the previously exported profiles was all I had to do. In my case I also had to setup the network static IP on the 8600.

Don't forget your ancillary programs where you might have to make a few changes in configuration.

All in all it was simple - nothing to loose sleep over!!
