generally, you really have to work hard to damage something today. :) Even a bad SWR will not break a transmitter on any radio built in the last 20 years. I know. I've tried many times!1 -

On the SO2R the antenna connections are maintained and not grounded. I don't have a 1x3 to test with, but you can easily test by hooking up an antenna and see what you hear by testing each anten…1 -
