I'm finding the same thing. Looking at the user guide, it only describes use with the M model. Is the feature even available to the non-M owners? It would be a pity if they left us non-M owners …1 -

Make sure that your transmit low cut is set to 0. If you bring your low cut up, you will start truncating your data stream. The call sign is the first thing to truncate, then the message.1 -

Also--it is easier to prevent overdriving your audio chain if you run your RF power at 100%. I generally run RF power at 100% and throttle back my final output power by reducing the audio level.2
